1. Introduction
Vision Bleu LED (“we”, “our”, or “us”) is an architectural lighting company based in LaSalle, Montréal, Quebec, Canada. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and protect your personal information when you use our website or contact us for services.
We are committed to compliance with Quebec’s Act respecting the protection of personal information in the private sector (Law 25) and Canada’s federal privacy legislation. By submitting a request through our website, you consent to the practices described in this policy.
2. Information We Collect
When you submit a request through the estimate form on our website, we collect the following information:
- The service you selected (exterior, interior, landscape, holiday, or commercial lighting)
- First name
- Email address
- Phone number
- Postal code — used to confirm your property is inside our service area
The general enquiry form on our Service Area page collects your name, your email address, your phone number (optional), the reason for your enquiry, and the message you write.
The postal-code checker on that same page works entirely inside your browser: the postal code you type there is never sent to a server.
Every form submission also carries a small amount of technical information you do not type in: the address of the page you submitted from and the language version of the Site you were using. The estimate form additionally transmits the time of submission and your browser’s user-agent string — the identifier your browser sends with every request, describing its version and operating system.
We do not collect payment information through our website. We also do not collect sensitive personal information as defined under Law 25.
3. How We Use Your Information
We use the information you provide solely for the following purposes:
- To schedule and conduct a free consultation at your property
- To prepare a personalized lighting proposal for your project
- To follow up regarding your project and answer your questions
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to any third party.
4. Third-Party Services
Our website uses certain third-party services that may process data on our behalf. These are described below:
Cloudflare Turnstile
The forms on this Site use Cloudflare Turnstile, an anti-spam tool that tells a person apart from a bot. The Turnstile script is loaded from Cloudflare on every page of this Site, as soon as the page opens — before you touch a form, whether or not you ever do, and before the cookie banner asks you anything. Because your browser makes that request directly, Cloudflare receives your IP address and your browser information on every page view.
When you submit the estimate form, we also send your IP address to Cloudflare, together with the verification token, so that Cloudflare can confirm the submission came from a person. This data is processed by Cloudflare, Inc. under their Privacy Policy.
Maps (Google Maps)
Our Service Area page shows the regions we serve on a map. The overview map is drawn by our own site and requests nothing from anyone. A Google street map behind it is loaded only if you have accepted analytics cookies in our cookie banner and have scrolled down to the map; if you decline, you still see the full map of our regions, without the Google background. You can also load it for a single visit by tapping the “Interactive map · Google” button on the map itself — tapping it loads Google Maps and sends your IP address to Google, and it does not change your cookie choices. When you open a region, a small Google map of that region is loaded at that moment. Whenever a Google map loads, your IP address and the area you are viewing are disclosed to Google, which may set its own cookies, under Google’s Privacy Policy. The “View on Google” buttons are ordinary links: nothing is sent until you click one. The postal-code checker on the same page does not use any map: it runs in your browser against a list bundled with the page.
Google Analytics (via Google Tag Manager)
We use Google Analytics to collect anonymized data about how visitors interact with our website (pages viewed, session duration, device type). Google Analytics is loaded through Google Tag Manager using Consent Mode v2 — it is only activated after you provide explicit consent via our cookie banner. If you decline analytics cookies, no analytics data is collected. Google Analytics data is processed under Google’s Privacy Policy.
Meta Pixel (via Google Tag Manager)
We use Meta Pixel for advertising measurement purposes. Like Google Analytics, Meta Pixel is only activated after you provide explicit consent via our cookie banner. If you decline marketing cookies, Meta Pixel is not loaded. Meta processes this data under Meta’s Privacy Policy.
Form Processing — who receives your information
Both forms are sent over encrypted connections (HTTPS/TLS) and are handled by the following service providers on our behalf:
- Netlify — hosts this website and runs the server-side code that receives every submission.
- n8n — the automation service that routes an estimate request onward.
- GoHighLevel — our customer relationship management (CRM) system, where estimate requests are recorded and where our team follows up with you.
- Resend — the email delivery service that sends a general enquiry to contact@visionbleu.com.
- Slack — our private internal messaging workspace. Every general enquiry is mirrored there so someone picks it up; an estimate request is posted there only if the route to our CRM fails.
Each of these providers receives the information you entered — your name, email address, phone number, and, for an enquiry, the message you wrote. If a submission cannot be delivered, we also write it to our hosting provider’s server logs so that your request is not lost and we can follow up by hand.
Your information is not shared with any other third party beyond the services described in this section, and we do not sell, rent, or trade it.
Where your information is processed
The service providers named in this section — Cloudflare, Google, Meta, Netlify, GoHighLevel, Slack and Resend — are operated from outside Quebec, and several of them are United States companies. Your personal information is therefore processed and stored outside Quebec and outside Canada, including in the United States, where it is subject to the laws of the country in which it is held and may be accessible to the authorities of that country. Transmission to these providers is encrypted (HTTPS/TLS). By submitting a form on this Site, you consent to your personal information being communicated outside Quebec for the purposes described in section 3.
5. Cookie Consent (Consent Mode v2)
We use a cookie consent system that categorizes cookies into three types:
- Functional (Necessary): Required for the website to operate. Cannot be disabled.
- Analytics: Anonymized usage statistics (Google Analytics). Disabled by default — only activated after your explicit consent.
- Marketing: Advertising measurement (Meta Pixel). Disabled by default — only activated after your explicit consent.
When you first visit our site, a cookie banner requests your consent. You may accept all categories, reject non-essential cookies, or customize your preferences individually. You can withdraw or change your consent at any time by selecting Manage cookies in the footer of any page.
6. Data Retention
We keep the information you submit for as long as we may need it to answer your request, carry out the work, and support the installation afterwards. We do not delete it on a fixed schedule.
You can ask us to delete your information at any time, and we will do so unless we are required to keep it — for example, records tied to a completed installation or to an obligation under Quebec law. Write to us using the contact details in section 8.
[SAM TO REVIEW: we currently retain indefinitely in the CRM, and this section now says so truthfully. Law 25 expects personal information to be destroyed once the purpose it was collected for is fulfilled, so a defined retention schedule is worth setting with the lawyer — at which point this section should state it.]
7. Your Rights (Law 25)
Under Quebec’s Law 25 and applicable federal privacy legislation, you have the following rights regarding your personal information:
- Right of access: You may request a copy of the personal information we hold about you.
- Right to correction: You may request that we correct inaccurate or incomplete information.
- Right to withdraw consent: You may withdraw your consent for non-essential data processing at any time. This does not affect the lawfulness of processing based on consent given before withdrawal.
- Right to de-indexation: In certain circumstances, you may request that we stop disseminating your personal information.
To exercise any of these rights, please contact us using the details below. We will respond within the timeframes required by applicable law.
